The W7RAG field day committee is planning a 'Thank A Veteran" Special event. The event is designed to honor all veterans who have served and protected our nation.  We are encouraging all W7RAG hams to participate in the event.  It will let the world know that our club appreciates all veterans and their selfless service.

Veterans Day is Saturday November 11,2017.  The Club event will run from 00:00 Zulu Friday November 10 to 023:59 Zulu Sunday November 12, 2017.    Local time that is Thursday 5:00PM to Sunday 4:59 PM

How the event works:

You reserve a band, mode and time. Then get on the air, operate, and remind all hams that freedom isn't free and our club is thanking veterans this Veteran's day weekend!

The Club will send an email.  Reply to the email and let us know what time and band you wish to operate. We ask that only one operator work one band and mode at a time. Steve KG7YJA will keep track of sign ups, bands, and operating times. If you are not sure if an opening is available email Steve and he will let you know.

Please be sure and log all of your contacts with Date / time (Zulu), Frequency, Mode, and signal report given. Please keep you log handy if the station that contacted you sends a QSL card the club QSL manager will contact you for the above info and verification on contact.

If you have questions email Steve at steveingorge@yahoo.com . Below are some sample calls to use while participating in this special event. Let's have some Ham Fun this Veteran's day weekend and let the world know that our club appreciates all who served!

 W7RAG on QRZ.com for updates.

Lets do this!
